I spent one of the best Christmas holidays with the family in Sacramento this year. A house full of pups running around, my mom's homemade food and some french wine, I honestly couldn't have asked for anything better!! If you follow me on Instagram you know I've been spending a lot of time in Sacramento this past year. Exploring its up and coming style to food scene, this city is a truly a diamond in the rough. I cannot wait to discover more new places like local coffee spot pictured, Temple Coffee Roasters.  Full of young entrepreneurs and creatives, I hope to partner up with some this coming year so stay tuned.

The fickle weather here in California has been throwing me for a loop lately. Thus warm pieces like this Pendalton cape have helped me layer looks and get away with still wearing skirts and dresses despite the evening cool downs. Comfy yet chic, classic capes and en trend blanket scarves can make great additions to your winter wardrobe. Yet when shopping for these items, make sure to consider size, particularly length for shorter torsos like mine can get swallowed by larger pieces. Pair them with a body con dress and booties for winter date night or a pair of jeans and a stripped top for a cute coffee outing.
