Dots and Daisies

It has been a whirlwind of travel alongside a handful of events for me the last 3 months and boy what fun it has been. San Diego, Austin, Atlanta and LA. Restaurant previews, style shows, dog meet-ups. If you follow me on Instagram (@LivingInVogue) you already got a peak at the places I was lucky enough to visit and some of the cute things that came home with me. I think the thing that I really love the most about travel, and just exploring in general, is how it always helps me grow taste wise. From architecture to local food flavors, I love looking for style inspiration everywhere and in everything! I allow it to guide me to try new colors and cuts, as well as new textures and prints.

This mod mini and these strappy sandals were both travel finds. I scored the shoes at a local thrift shop in Austin, The Family Thrift Store, located on South Congress Ave. Taking note from all the fabulously curated local vintage shops, I was totally in search of items mostly saturated in earth tones with a very boho-chic Austin vibe. Thus when I spotted the sandals they were a no brainer especially because they were only $2. I found the dress in LA at the always faithful Crossroads Trading Co. on Venture Ave. A sucker for any Daisy print, its retro vibe had me at Hello.

I streamlined the whole look with some of my go-to items. Yet by far, I think my best outfit accessory was Mr. Oliver. Recently introduced to Benni Barker, I am smitten over their cute collection of dog bow ties. I must say Mr. Oliver matched my dress flawlessly in his Navy Pin Dot number (shop it HERE). Quiet the ham in front of the camera, stay tuned to see two more looks Mr. Oliver has in store for you!

I wore this ensemble to an amazing restaurant preview at local Los Gatos Toll House Hotel. Relaunching its menu and look, VERGE restaurant and lounge treated guests to some delish craft cocktails, as well as some scrumptious small bites. A beautiful set-up and stellar service, I cannot wait to go back for another Green Tea Macha Fizz this sunny season! Happy almost summer pretties.
