Jeweled Tones

I shamelessly jewelry ogled at the Madhuri Parson Trunk Show recently. Always lusting after big statement pieces, Madhuri did not have to insist more than once for me to try on some of her amazing works of art. What I cannot seem to get enough about her work is that it truly captures what the chic woman of today wants, which I like to call "just a little bit of too much". Its that "just a little bit of too much" that makes an outfit "pop". That "pop", a note that I am always seeking to hit. Inspired by Madhuri's old meets new, traditional meets modern, I planned my trunk show outfit around a large, ruby red, 70's style belt. A Crossroads Trading Co. consignment find, I loved the huge belt-buckle immediately for its "pop". Sticking with the jewel tones, I paired it with a emerald blue minimalist-shaped dress and some gold heels with snake print trimings.
